In the early 1950’s, some Missionaries with North Arkansas Gospel Mission (now Rock Haven Ministries), took a small group of young people camping at the Buffalo River State Park. After seeing the positive impact that it had on the group, they began to put summer youth camp in the agenda to do each year.   In 1955, they purchased 105 acres alongside what is now the Buffalo National River, and Rock Haven Bible Camp was born. Rock Haven Bible Camp is a faith support ministry that depends on gifts from people and churches.  Our goal is to provide an affordable camping experience for every child.   A couple of ways that we do this is by keeping our camp cost low.  Our camp is only $100 to $110 per week, lower than most Christian camps in the area.  We also provide scholarships for children who are unable to afford our low camp fee.  In order to continue to provide this much  needed ministry, we are looking for people and churches that ... Kermit joined Rock Haven Bible Camp in 2010.  Kermit grew up around this area and was glad to “come home” to Arkansas. He graduated in 1983 from Valley Springs High School and began volunteering at Rock Haven Bible Camp in 1984.  He attended Citadel Bible College the Fall of 1985, and graduated from Calvary Bible College in 1989, with a degree in Christian camping. Donna has been at Rock Haven Ministries since 1985.  She and her husband Tim Bartlow, have served at Rock Haven for over 30 years.      Donna began working at a church camp in Central Arkansas when she was 12 years old.  In 1989, she began cooking at Rock Haven Bible Camp.  A few years later she became the head cook.  She began helping with the registration at summer camps and youth retreats in 1991.  Donna loves working at camp.  Helping children and young people find Christ and grow in Him is her ...
